This rectangular wallet showcases a rounded corner and a zipper closure. It features a palladium-tone brass hook attached to a chain and is embossed with the Rick Owens logo. Made from genuine Pirarucu fishskin, it boasts a soft, matte, and waxy finish. The Pirarucu is one of the world's largest freshwater fish, found in the Amazon biome and traditionally used as a food source by local communities. However, due to restricted capture in specific ecological reserves, the species is now better protected and preserved. By sustainably recycling these giant skins, indigenous communities in Brazil can generate significant income and support biodiversity preservation efforts. Notably, the Pirarucu skins are tanned in Brazil using a low-impact process and finished in Italy. It's important to mention that the Pirarucu is a protected species.
